Kidsave International Summer Miracles Program
... Because Every Child Needs a Family
Notes:
I still remember Tanya's first week in the U.S. She wanted to see and do everything! Her camp counselor was impressed with how many friends she made and how quickly she picked up English.
Now that her six-week stay is up, I don't want to let her go. :(
I'm so glad, though, that we decided to do the Summer Miracles Program. We weren't sure adoptiong an older child would be right for us. Now we know we wouldn't have it any other way! We're picking up Tanya from Russia tomorrow.
(Under Photo)
Some kids see summer camp as a chance to get away from home. Mine was trying to find one!

Open your heart and your nome to a miracle this summer.

Creative Discussion
This is a slightly different version of the first half-page newspaper ad. This one has different journal text and a different photo. The little girl in this magazine clipping was easily overstimulated and had to undergo physical therapy in order to learn how to cope with being hugged and touched. Similar symptoms are sometimes found in children who were not held often enough as infants in orphanages.
